RC Airshow

Today I went to an RC jet airshow in Mesa with my friend Chris. I don’t have time to write much about it, but it was really cool. Most of the aircraft there are powered by an actual turbine. All the planes were multi-thousand dollar affairs. Below are some photos that I took in no particular order.

Short Update on My Dad

My dad is healing very well (ahead of “schedule”). This week the doctor gave him a removable cast so at least he could take a shower without fear of getting his cast wet. The doctor also articulated his ankle and said that it looked good and he’d be able to begin physical therapy before too long.

This has been an answer to prayer. When I spoke to my dad after he left the doctor’s office, he sounded happier than I heard him sound since his accident. He still won’t be able to put weight on that leg for quite a while, but he’s healing nicely. I’d like to give a special thanks to Dr. Nassar who did such a great job of literally putting his leg back together.

Where Would Jesus Shop (WWJS)

Chris, who works with us, was shopping for some stuff on Amazon today. Due to a set of circumstances which resemble the perfect storm, Amazon.com has mistaken Chris for divinity. I think they may have offered him the heavenly discount on a Stephen King book, too. I was not aware that God was a fan.
