Building the Future

Is my 8 year old son going to require years of counseling as an adult because of what I said today? After he threw the ball a short distance while playing a game of catch, I said, “now set down your purse, and throw me the ball”.

Somehow I can’t picture that in a book about great parenting.

    No, I don’t think that was in the great parenting book. Just so you know, neither is “Hike up your skirt Alice”. Kids these days, they have such thin skins.

    Mark, you’re such a good Dad I’m sure it’s fine, epecially with John’s sense of humor. The refreshing thing to see is that catch yourself and know that no parent is perfect!

    My grandfather used to tell me that he’d seen “better looking heads on a pimple” and I turned out ok…
